Chisimba Chibwe

Chishimba’s passion for knowledge sharing prompted her to pursue a career in project management, and monitoring and evaluation. During her time as an undergraduate student, she identified a significant gap in learning abilities of hundreds of students in her class and realized that the gap could be bridged through student-centred learning.

In 2017, Chishimba graduated from the University of Zambia and went on to tutor students for two (2) years while employing the student-centred learning approach. At the same time, she worked on various health projects that focused on sexual and reproductive health (SRH), maternal and child health (MCH) and HIV/AIDS/TB.

Her professional experiences in health and education led her to pursue her master’s in population studies, which has furthered her understanding of demographic, social and economic factors, and how they can be used in poverty alleviation.

It is from her involvement in the management of donor funded projects that she gained interest in results based management, transparency and accountability in non-governmental organisations through participatory monitoring, evaluation and learning. Chishimba has worked with John Snow Incorporated (JSI), Institute of Research and Development (IRD), Society for Family Health (SFH) and Clearcut Associates.

At Vision Action Zambia, Chishimba coordinates M&E activities for all country programs and seeks to enhance informed decision making by providing quality information to the organisation and its partners.
